Bringing in SoE detainees to Criminal Court is ‘mockery of justice’: ex-President Nasheed
Nasheed expressed this in a post on his Twitter account
The Criminal Court has remanded a number of detainees

Former President Mohamed Nasheed has contested the validity of authorities remanding and summoning detainees apprehended under the state of emergency.

In a post on his Twitter account, Nasheed said that authorities have no legal basis to summon said detainees.

The Criminal Court has remanded a number of detainees, including detained lawmakers, police officers, and Supreme Court Justice Ali Hameed as well.

Maldives’ ongoing state of emergency, the validity of which has been questioned as well, is to expire this Thursday.
