Police have apprehended member of parliament for Galolhu south constituency Ahmed Mahloof. 

He was arrested inside the MDP's national campaign house during an opposition rally hosted by the joint opposition parties on Thursday night.

In Thursday night's rally the police's actions were violent and had given countless warnings to disperse the protesters. The police had also removed media from the area. 

The police had used a great amount of pepper spray on protesters. 

The member of parliament was arrested at times before for a number of reasons.
