SO commander Saif
Former special operations commander Saif Hussain has been apprehended along with another police officer.
He was the commander of the special operations team. Before he was arrested he had been slacked the priviledges of his work. Saif had been taken to the training center in Dhaal atoll Vaani and he recently returned to Male'.
The police have not given a direct comment on the matter of Saif's arrest. Police spokesperson Ahmed Shifaan said that arrest of both Saif and the police officer is regarding an ongoing investigation.
Saif was arrested at Henveiru Kinbimaage at 2300 hrs on Thursday night.
Police have not stated the reason behind the arrest yet.
