Food items containing alcohol have been removed from shops: Maldives Customs
"Not for muslims" visibly written on the product

Maldives Customs Service has said that the food items 'not suitable for muslims' have been removed from all shops that were selling them.

"Food items displayed on shop racks have been removed. These items were alleged for containing alcohol in the ingredients." reads the tweet published on Maldives Customs Service's official twitter account on Thursday.

The picture attached to the tweet features bottled and packages of items titled "Chicken Spread" by the brand Lady's Choice and 'Country Beef Casserole' by the brand Master Foods.

MCS did not disclose the names of shops from which the items were sold.
