Court asks for document amendment in impeachment motion against President Yameen
The court released a statement on Tuesday while reports had surfaced that judges had dismissed the case entirely
Legal representatives of the opposition parties said the court has asked that some of the documents filed with the motion be amended

The Supreme Court has asked that the opposition’s motion to have President Abdulla Yameen’s impeachment have changes brought to it for administrative purposes.

The court released a statement on Tuesday while reports had surfaced that judges had dismissed the case entirely.

Legal representatives of the opposition parties said that the court has asked that some of the documents filed with the motion be ammended.

The motion was signed by former presidents Maumoon Abdul Gayoom and Mohamed Nasheed, along with other opposition leaders Qasim Ibrahim and Imran Abdulla.

The motion cites allegations of constitutional violations, unlawfully influencing other state powers, and cases of corruption.

Former President Nasheed said in a post on his Twitter acount following the Supreme Court decision that the parties are currently making the required changes.
