Villa resort being raided by officers of Customs
State has granted a temporary permit of 14 days for Villa Group to bring in alcohol and pork.
A statement released by the Tourism Ministry stated that the decision was made after consultations with stakeholders, including Maldives Association of Tourism Industry (MATI). It added that the decision was made to give uninterrupted service to guests and that the request had been sent to Ministry of Economic Development.
A senior official of Villa Hotels and Resorts reported to RaajjeMV that no such information had been shared with the Group, either verbally or by notice.
