German Ambassador Joern Rohde met Defense Minister Adam Shareef on Wednesday morning.

Mohamed Zuhair, the Minister of State at the Defense Ministry, also joined the meeting at the military base, Bandaara Koshi.

The topics on discussion were the close diplomatic ties between the two countries.

The officials also discussed potential joint anti-terrorism anti-extremism efforts, and Defense Minister also discussed the current operations in Maldives to combat extremism and terrorism.
