Maldivian has denied reports that a fire had occurred on one of their flights. 

An official of Maldivian reported to several local media sources denied reports to that nature. 

Reportedly one engine of a plane to Male' City from Dharavandhoo island in Baa Atoll caught fire and had to make an emergency landing.

RaajjeMV understands that the flight to Male' City from Dharavandhoo island was delayed due to engine issues. The issue was alerted to after passengers boarded the flight. An official in Dharavandhoo regional airport reported to RaajjeMV that passengers had to be escorted off the plane. They were taken to Male' in a FlyMe flight.
