Coast Guard assists two Sri Lankan boats

Coast Guard has assisted two Sri Lankan fishing boats stranded in the Maldives region.
The Defence Force’s information officer said the boats were spotted in the north.
The officers of the Coast Guard had boatrded one of the boats to fix its stall engine, he said.
The boats have since left for Sri Lanka.
On December 5, the Coast Guard began assisting foreign boats stranded in the Maldives, following a storm in the Indian ocean.
67 boats are currently lost at sea.
