A hearing of the bribery allegations on Dhiggaru Constituency MP Ahmed Faris Maumoon will be held on Wednesday.

The preliminary hearings of the on-going case resumed after a two-month hiatus. The last hearing of the case was held on November 5th. MP Faris had submitted 23 pretrial motions, out of which 15 had already been heard by the Court.

The Court will deliberate on rest of the motions on Wednesday’s hearing.

MP Faris was arrested following the submission of no confidence motion on Parliament Speaker Abdullah Maseeh. He had denied the charges.
