Supporters of the joint opposition host a barbecue in Gan
Hahdhunmathi Gan has begun preparing a campaign for this year’s presidential election.
L Gan Council President Mohamed Shiyam said supporters of the joint opposition have planned activities to campaign.
A barbecue was hosted in Thundi and Mukurimagu on Monday night to kick-off the campaign, he said.
“MDP lost the parliamentary election in 2009. But since then they’ve been winning the majority in all the election. They will win the majority in the presidential election.”
Shiyam said they have planned a strong campaign for the opposition.
Many members of the main opposition party MDP had joined Monday night’s barbeque.
