Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) has said that it will be suspending its services on December 31, which has been declared a public holiday by President Abdulla Yameen.
The President, on Wednesday, declared that December 31 will be a special non-working holiday, in order ‘to make things easier for the employees’.
In a press release issued on Thursday, MPL said that its services will be temporarily suspended from 7:30 am on Sunday. It added that services will resume at 7:30 am the next day.
Established in September 1986, MPL manages and operates all ports within the country.
