Japan’s Foreign Minister Taro Kono is set to visit Maldives next month.

Mr Kono will be arriving on January 6, announced Japan’s Foreign Ministry.

During the visit, he will be meeting with President Abdulla Yameen and Foreign Minister Dr Mohamed Asim.

Minister Asim last met with Minister Kono in Japan on November 17.
