President Abdulla Yameen attended the groundbreaking ceremony of the sewerage system in Hen’badhoo island of South Miladhunmadulu (Noonu) atoll on Sunday.

He arrived in Hen’badhoo island after inaugurating the harbour and mosque in Maalhendhoo island, in the same atoll.

While President Yameen attended the groundbreaking ceremony held in Hen’badhoo’s harbour area on Sunday, it was officially inaugurated by Mohamed ‘Champa Uhchu’ Moosa. The project is funded by Champa Brothers Maldives.

Speaking after the ceremony, President Yameen emphasized that the state had allocated a budget for the development of a sewerage system in the island, and thanked Champa Brothers for their initiative to fund the project.

President Yameen is currently on a three-day visit to South Miladhunmadulu (Noonu) atoll, Faadhihpolhu (Lahviyani) atoll and South Maalhosmadulu (Baa) atoll.
