The party passed a resolution on November 10, vowing to work with the joint opposition in the next Presidential elections and Parliamentary elections, that are to take place in both 2018 and 2019 respectively.

It noted that the reason the party had to reach this decision was because of the crimes and violations by the current government.

Adhaalath Party noted that is for the betterment of the people.

Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) welcomed Adhaalath Party's decision, noting that it was in line with the party's vision.
