Maldives Metrological Service has issued a white alert.

The alert was issued for atolls from Thaa to Addu Atolls, from 9am to 2pm for Monday.

Heavy rain and thunderstorms with gusty winds of 45 mph are expected during this time, extending to the next 24 hours.

Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms will be experienced over the country.
