Civil employees marked for PPM rally
Given an identification slip, both sides marked
Entrance through special door, with slip
MPL senior staff says attendance is a must

It has emerged that civil employees have, once again, been bullied into attending the rally held on Thursday night by ruling Progressive Party of the Maldives (PPM).

Speaking on the condition of anonymity, an employee of Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) reported that a slip was given to each employee marked with a number on both sides. All employees were ordered to attend with this slip, the employee said.

The staff reported that a special entrance had been created for the employees, manned by female staff of MPL. All employees were informed by senior staff of MPL that attendance was a must and to conceal from media that a slip had been given.

The employee reported that the slips were handed over to MPL staff at around 2pm on Thursday.

Several staff from various Government agencies reported that such measures has been taken. Meticulously detailed seating charts for Thursday night’s rally is up on social media as well.
