The 17-year-old injured in an assault on Sunday night has been treated by the Addu Regional Hospital.

Mohamed Najeeb was released on Monday morning, and an official from the hospital that his wounds had not been deep enough to penetrate any internal organs.

Najeeb was stabbed in the stomach in a fight with another minor at around 22:15 on Sunday.

Police have apprehended the other 17-year-old and is currently further investigating the matter.
