An individual has been attacked near Maafaru Guesthouse.

Maldives Police Service (MPS) had confirmed that such an incident had occurred and that the injured had been sent to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) for immediate treatment.

The case was reported to Police at around 21:22hrs on Saturday.

IGMH media official reported that an injured individual was taken to the hospital. However, the hospital did not divulge additional details.
