A car was set on fire early Thursday morning

A car was set on fire in the Henveiru ward of the capital Malé City early Thursday morning.

According to Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF), the incident was reported at around 3:35 am, and was immediately attended by a team from its Fire and Rescue Services.

Noting that there were no injuries, MNDF said that a pickup parked next to the car had suffered various damages as well.

MNDF has begun investigating the matter.
