Two individuals were injured in an attack in the capital Malé city on Saturday night.
A police spokesperson confirmed that two individuals were taken to Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) following an attack, and that it was reported at around 11:20 pm.
He said that they are unable to disclose any further information.
An eyewitness told RaajjeMV that there was a fight between two groups near Maafannu Kalhirava shop, and that they saw one individual "onto the ground".
"He would have sustained serious injuries," added the eyewitness.
While the groups had dispersed before police officers arrived at the scene, the onlooker said that officers had "taken him to the hospital in a taxi", adding that blood had splattered onto those there.
