Maldives Police Service (MPS) has commenced search of an apartment owned by a senior figure of Government coalition partner Maldives Development Alliance (MDA).

RaajjeMV understands that the apartment in question in 6B of Rehendhi flats and is owned by MDA Council Member Aishath Mamdhooha. RaajjeMV also understands that the apartment is sublet to a senior official of a state-owned corporation.

Police had confirmed that a search was underway and was carried out under a Court order.

RaajjeMV reporter at the scene said Police had initially attempted to enter the apartment used by First Secretary at the Bangladeshi Embassy.
