Asma Shafeeu appointed Reform Commissioner
Her term as Deputy Commissioner General of Taxation at MIRA ended in October

The Ministry of Finance has appointed Asma Shafeeu to the newly created position of Reform Commissioner.
Asma's most recent position was Deputy Commissioner General of Taxation.
The position of Reform Commissioner, which reports to the Minister of Finance, is the highest position in the Reform Office established by the government.
The government has stated that the office was established to implement the reform changes decided to strengthen the state's financial affairs, reduce expenses, and increase revenue.
Asma has been serving at the Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) since 2010. Her term as Deputy Commissioner General of Taxation at MIRA, which was her most recent position, ended last October.
