Dr. Mohamed Zahir Hussain is to be conferred the highest Civilian Award, the Order of the Distinguished Rule of Izzuddin
The Order of the Distinguished Rule of Izzuddin (ODRI) is to be conferred upon Dr. Mohamed Zahir Hussain.
President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu decided to confer the highest Civilian Award on Dr. Mohamed Zahir Hussain for his distinguished service and contributions to the education sector of the Maldives.
Currently, Dr. Mohamed Zahir Hussain serves as the Chancellor of the Islamic University of Maldives (IUM).
The decision to confer the honor on Dr. Mohamed Zahir Hussain aims to recognize his outstanding contribution to the development of education in the Maldives, and educating the people of the Maldives
The honor will be conferred upon Dr. Mohamed Zahir Hussain at the official function to mark this year’s Republic Day.
The ceremony will be held at Dharubaaruge, on Sunday. The ceremony will begin at 08:15pm.
The 'President's National Award for Special Achievement’ will be conferred at the ceremony as well.
This year, 40 outstanding individuals chosen by the Special Awards Committee will receive the prestigious honor.
During the event, 53 individuals will also be recognized with awards for their exceptional service to the state. These nominees are carefully selected by the National Awards Committee.
