Six teams are competing in the CAVA Men’s U20 Volleyball Tournament and Maldives has lost all five games played.
Maldives lost in straight sets in the matches against Turkmenistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan.
Maldives lost to Turkmenistan in its first match of the tournament.
In its second match, Maldives went against the host country, Sri Lanka. The team lost in three straight sets. Although the Maldives lost the game in straight three sets, they showed a promising performance overall. Sri Lanka won the sets with scores of 25-14, 25-14, and 25-11.
Maldives faced Nepal in their third match, on Tuesday night. Nepal defeated the Maldives straight in three sets with scores of 25-05, 25-12, and 25-20.
Maldives’ showed a good performance in the game against Kyrgyzstan.
Kyrgyzstan won the first set 25-15. Maldives showed the best performance in the second set which Kyrgyzstan won 25-21. Kyrgyzstan won the third set 25-19.
Maldives reached the end of the tournament without a single win.
