Maldives knocked out of U-17 SAFF Championship after losing to India
Maldives lost the game 3 – 0 on Tuesday evening. Maldives, India and Bangladesh were included in Group A.

Maldives has been eliminated from the Under-17 SAFF Championship, after losing to India in the final match of the group stage.
Maldives was included in Group A of the tournament proceeding in Bhutan.
India and Bangladesh were in Group A as well.
Maldives drew with Bangladesh in the first match of the group stage.
With this, Maldives had a chance to reach the semi-finals if they won against India in the final match.
However, Maldives lost the game 3 – 0 on Tuesday evening.
India’s Samson took the lead by scoring in the 13th minute of the game.
The other two goals were scored in the second half of the game. As such, the team’s Lunkim scored their second goal in the 74th minute and the third goal in the 89th minute.
India secured a place in the semi-finals as the group winner by winning both matches in the group stage.
Bangladesh secured a place in the semi-finals as the group runner-up after leading against the Maldives on goal difference.
Bangladesh lost their game against India with a score of 1 – 0.
