A man wanted in the fatal stabbing of Nadheem 'Nadey' Abdul Raheem has been taken into police custody on Thursday night.

While police are yet to reveal the identity of the suspect arrested, RaajjeMV understands that arrested is Mohamed 'Pencil' Mafaz, a known criminal who previously had MoniCon order issued on him. While charges had also been raised against him for violating MoniCon order, he was later freed.

Police officers arrested him on Thursday night, after a raid at Jellyfish, located in the Galolhu ward of the capital Malé City. Officers had also confiscated a number of items from the house.

Police said that a suspect in the Terminal café stabbing had been arrested from G. Jellyfish on Thursday night, as well an additional individual.

"An additional individual was also arrested [from G.Jellyfish] over a different case," added police.

24-year-old Nadheem was stabbed in the head by a group of masked assailants on July 27, and died two days later while receiving treatment.

With gang violence have been on the rise in the recent days, 25-year-old Mohamed Anas was stabbed to death the same week.
