The Embassy of Maldives in Ankara, Türkiye has been established.
President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu established the embassy on Tuesday.
The President’s Office in a publication made on Tuesday revealed that the embassy will be administratively overseen by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The embassy was instituted in accordance with the authority vested in the president under Article 116 of the Constitution of Maldives.
The Embassy of Maldives in Ankara was established with an aim of enhancing bilateral relations.
Further, it is also expected to pave the path for strengthened political, economic and cultural ties between the two countries.
The publication issued by the President’s Office shed light on the tasks assigned to embassy officials.
It also mentions the official name of the establishment.
