President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has appointed Mohamed Tholal as the Commissioner of Sports.
Tholal was appointed as the Commissioner of Sports at the ministerial level.
He was appointed to the position, during a special ceremony held at the President's Office, on Tuesday.
Tholal was serving his second term in office as the President of the Athletic Association, and resigned to take over as Commissioner of Sports.
