Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has completed the land reclamation works of Bodufolhudhoo Island of Alif Alif Atoll.
MTCC disclosed this via twitter.
As such, MTCC disclosed that the land reclamation works for the Bodufolhudhoo Land Reclamation and Shore Protection Project has been completed.
MTCC's chartered dredger "Filipo Brunelleschi" undertook the reclamation works of Bodufolhudhoo Island, after the successful completion of HA. Ihavandhoo, Sh. Mathi Komandoo and AA. Ukulhas land reclamations.
MTCC mobilized the Bodufolhudhoo land reclamation and shore protection project site on 8 July, 2023.
Under the scope of the project, MTCC is required to conduct reclamation operations of eight hectares.
The construction of a breakwater measuring 180 meters, a revetment measuring 1,052 meters and a 110-meter groyne also comes under the scope of the project.
The Bodufolhudhoo land reclamation and shore protection project is valued at MVR 74.12 million.
