Staff of Bank of Maldives (BML) has hosted a blood donation camp.
BML disclosed that the bank partnered with Maldives Blood Service to organize the blood donation camp.
In 2021, BML announced to host blood donation camps for staff on a quarterly basis.
The bank made this decision to meet the demand of blood for transfusions required by Thalassemia patients.
During this blood donation camp, a total of 46 staff joined to donate blood.
During the first two quarter of this year, over 60 staff and their family members donated blood during the donation camps.
BML states that the bank aims to create awareness among staff about social issues and encourage them to participate in activities benefiting the community.
