The Ministry of Education has offered condolences following the death of Khadheeja Hussain, former Principal of Ameer Ahmed Preschool.
In a statement, the ministry revealed that Khadheeja, native to Kolhufushi island of Meemu atoll, provided several valuable contributions to the education sector.
During her extensive career at Ameer Ahmed Preschool, Khadheeja filled the positions of a teacher, leading teacher as well as the school’s principal.
Khadheeja is known for being a compassionate teacher, who has won the love and trust of students, co-workers as well as parents.
The ministry highlighted that Khadheeja’s passing has brought great sorrow to the entire education sector.

She was undergoing treatment for cancer, at the time of her death.
