Maldives has expressed condolences to the victims of the Grenfell Tower fire, and their families.
In a tweet sent out by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' official page on Wednesday, Minister Dr. Mohamed Asim said he was 'deeply saddened' to hear of the incident in London.

Authorities have confirmed that at least 12 people died in the incident, with 79 taken into critical care. London Fire Commissioner Dany Cotton said that there are still 'unknown numbers' of bodies in Grenfell Tower, adding that they 'are not expecting to find anyone else alive'.
Cotton said that the fire had 'affected every floor from the second floor upwards'.
A fire broke out late Wednesday night at the 24-storey housing block in north Kensington, leaving a number of people homeless. 34 people remain in hospital, according to reports, with 18 still in critical condition.
Prime Minister Theresa May has promised a 'proper investigation' into the fire. As a number of people questioned about the speed at which the fire had spread, the PM has also promised to conduct a review of the building regulations covering fire safety.
Many of the building's residents are reported to have said that they had been warning of a fire risk for months.
