MTCC completed 10 projects during Q2
The company took on 13 additional projects during the second quarter
Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has completed 10 projects during the second quarter of 2022
Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has completed 10 projects during the second quarter of 2022.
MTCC states that the company managed a total of 115 projects during the second quarter. These included construction of harbors, airports and roads, as well as shore protection, causeway protection, dredging and reclamation projects.
Out of these projects, 10 projects were successfully completed and work on 12 projects were commenced.
Construction of R. Angolhitheem harbour upgrading works, completed on April 28, 2022. Under this project, MTCC completed dredging, construction of quay wall, breakwater, construction of groyne, harbor pavement, construction of ramp and installation of harbor streetlights.
Design and build of A.A. Ukulhas quay wall and jetty was completed on May 01, 2022. This project included dredging, construction of quay wall, revetment construction, construction of harbor pavement, construction of jetty, walkway bridge, as well as installation of streetlights and navigation aid.
The upgrading of K. Girifushi harbor was completed on May 05, 2022. Under this project, MTCC completed construction of a combined 314m breakwater in three different profiles.
Harbor redevelopment and reclamation project of K. Dhoonidhoo was completed on May 08, 2022. This project included harbor dredging, channel dredging, construction of quay wall, breakwater, sand filled breakwater, revetment, groyne, harbor pavement and installation of streetlights. The project also included construction of concrete walkway and a ramp. MTCC also fixed mooring buoys under the project.
MTCC completed the design and build of harbor in Th. Guraidhoo on May 09, 2022. This project also included harbor dredging, channel dredging, construction of quay wall, breakwater, sand filled breakwater, revetment, groyne, harbor pavement and installation of streetlights. The project also included construction of concrete walkway and a ramp. MTCC also fixed mooring buoys under the project.
Design and build of shore protection structured at V. Rakeedhoo was completed on May 25, 2022. Under this project, MTCC completed swimming area development works, constructions of breakwater, revetment and groyne.
Design and build of shore protection structures at V. Fulidhoo was completed on May 31, 2022. Followed by the Nakacha Hura reef dredging project on June 1, 2022.
K. Kudagiri picnic island reclamation and shore protection project completed on June 04, 2022 included reclamation and groyne construction.
MTCC completed the land reclamation and shore protection of R. Dhuvaafaru on June 06, 2022.
