Atul Keshap, the United States of America’s ambassador accredited to the Maldives, has on Tuesday called on President Abdulla Yameen.

The President’s Office reports that President Yameen and Ambassador Keshap had discussed cooperation and developing bilateral ties between the Maldives and the US.

“The call concluded with assurances for greater cooperation and appreciation for the long history of continued relations between the USA and Maldives” a statement from the President’s Office said.

Ambassador Keshap has been accompanied by Patric Tilou, the US embassy’s political officer and Partha Mazumdar, its Economic Chief.
