The biggest accomplishment of Ahmadhiyya International School has been generations of productive alumni, says President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.

He made this remark while speaking at the ceremony held to mark the 40th anniversary of the school on Monday.

As such, taking the podium at the event, President Solih shed light on the alumni of the school, some of whom have grown to serve as parliamentarians, senior government officials, and in a wide array of technical fields, which proves that educating generations of productive alumni has been the school’s biggest success.

Shedding light on the great achievements in the education sector over the past 40 years, the president recognized the contributions made to the education sector by the founder of the school, late Dr. Ahmed Didi who provided opportunities for students to prosper academically as well as in sports and extracurricular activities.

Going on to highlight the numerous milestones reached by the school over its history, the president acknowledged the limitations faced by the school due to space constraints and assured that his administration is working to provide the required assistance.

Touching down on his commitment to build generations of educated and skilled youth, the president spoke to length regarding the administration-led higher education initiatives and job creation.

As such, he noted that the numerous infrastructure projects carried out across the country will provide assistance in creating jobs in technical fields.

With this being said, he also specified the project to develop tertiary hospitals as well as renewable energy and water supply projects.

A special award was presented in memory of the school's founder during the ceremony.

The ceremony also saw President Solih conferring plaques of recognition to faculty members who have served the school for over 25 years.

President Solih also toured a gallery about the school’s history after the conclusion of the ceremony.
