A Bangladeshi national has been discovered dead inside a house in Mahchangoalhi ward of capital city Malé.

Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that the 29-year-old Bangladeshi national was discovered dead inside a house in Mahchangoalhi ward on Tuesday and the report was received at around 2pm.

Police officers were dispatched to the area immediately.

Although no further details have been disclosed, including the cause of the death, police have launched investigations into the Bangladeshi's death.
