A 55-year-old has drowned in Kudahuvadhoo island of Dhaalu atoll.
Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that the man was discovered from the reef on the west-side of the island at around 6pm on Thursday and he was rushed to the hospital immediately.
Doctors pronounced him death just 45 minutes later, said the police.
Further details regarding the man’s death have not been revealed, however, RaajjeMV understands that police have since launched further investigations into the case.
