The Bank of Maldives (BML) has officially launched ATM services in Kumundhoo island of Haa Dhaal atoll, marking a significant milestone in its ongoing “Mulhi Raajje ah BML ATM” initiative.
With this latest installation, alongside a newly inaugurated ATM in Kurinbi island of Haa Dhaal atoll earlier the same day, BML has now established ATM coverage on every inhabited island in Haa Dhaalu Atoll.

An inauguration ceremony held in Kumundhoo was attended by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, government ministers, BML Chairperson Ahmed Ali Habeeb, CEO and Managing Director Mohamed Shareef, as well as senior bank officials.
Speaking at the event, CEO Mohamed Shareef highlighted the bank’s continued efforts to improve financial accessibility across the Maldives.
With the completion of H.Dh. Kumundhoo, we are proud to announce that we have now expanded our ATM coverage to cover all inhabited islands in 9 atolls across the country. With every new ATM, we are bringing banking closer to communities with the goal of ensuring every individual has access to finance.”
