A woman who was injured in an accident on the Link Road of Gan island in Laamu atoll has passed away while receiving treatment at the hospital.
RaajjeMV understands that the accident was reported at around 9am on July 6 when a motorcycle traveling from Fonadhoo to Gan collided with a pole on the road. Two women on the motorcycle were injured in the accident.
The Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed at the time that the two individuals on the motorcycle sustained injuries in the crash and were rushed to Gan Regional Hospital.
The hospital has confirmed that a woman who was brought to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) in the capital Malé City for treatment due to the severity of her injuries from the accident, passed away on Thursday morning.
The deceased was a resident of Guraidhoo island of Kaafu atoll.
