The Deputy Managing Director of Housing Development Corporation (HDC), Fayaz Mansoor, has resigned.

It has been reported that he submitted his resignation on Thursday.

Fayaz was the first Deputy Managing Director of HDC under the presidency of Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, who assumed office in November 2023.

Fayaz Mansoor was appointed to the position shortly after the then Managing Director, Fazul Rasheed resigned, following allegations of corruption among HDC's senior management.

The Managing Director of HDC, Mohamed Mauroof Jameel, resigned on July 30. He resigned just six months after being appointed to the position.

Mauroof, who played a crucial role in HDC's earlier development and previously served as the Minister of Construction and Public Infrastructure, was appointed as Managing Director on 22 December 2024.
