The Football Association of Maldives (FAM) has announced their decision to hold the FAM Ordinary Congress on June 25.

In a press release issued by FAM, it was stated that the organization's congress will be held on Friday. FAM held an Extraordinary Congress earlier this year as well.

The agenda for the Congress includes proposing the approval of the annual reports for 2023 and 2024, presenting the audited financial statements for 2023 and 2024, proposing the budget for 2025, appointing external auditors for 2025 to 2028, approving the revised statutes, approving the Electoral Code, and setting a date for the election of FAM's new Executive Committee.

The press release issued by FAM stated that the revised statutes to be presented at the Congress have been developed in consultation with the world football governing body (FIFA), the regional football body (AFC), and with input from FAM member clubs.

In addition to this, it was mentioned that the final phase of FAM's normalization process will begin with this congress. It was also stated that the election of the new Executive Committee will be held, and it is expected that the role of the Normalization Committee will be concluded by the end of July.

FIFA had normalized the Maldives for a period of one year. Within this period, FAM was instructed to improve its affairs and elect a new Executive Committee.
