Hamid has won the championship in the singles event of the second "Carrom Veterans Championship" organized by the Carrom Association of Maldives.

In the singles event final that took place on Monday, Hamid competed against Ibrahim Lifau. Hamid won the final match by two sets to one. Hamid won the first set of the match 22-20. However, Lifau won the second set 15-05. Hamid won the third set 24-22, thus securing the championship in the singles event.

In the match played to determine the third place in the singles event, Abdulla Ismail and Saraahu faced each other. Abdulla Ismail won the match in straight sets. Abdulla Ismail won the sets 25-07 and 22-17.

This year's tournament was conducted in two events. They were Open Singles and Open Doubles. The championship in the doubles event of the tournament was won by Hassan Latheef and Ibrahim Lifau.
