The man who was rushed to the hospital after collapsing at a café in the congested capital Malé City, has died.
The Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that a man sitting in a café in Maafannu-ward of the capital city was taken to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) and treated after he lost consciousness. The police institution later cited the hospital having confirmed that the man had died.
The deceased has been identified as Ahmed Shareef, 58 of M. Moon Drops, Malé City.
MPS revealed that they are investigating matters that need to be looked into in connection with the sudden death.
According to information received, the man who lost consciousness was at Zen Bistro Café located on Shaariu Varudhee Magu in Maafannu. He was reportedly consuming a glass of juice before he suddenly lost consciousness.
