A high-level delegation of the ruling People's National Congress (PNC) has headed to China.
The delegation departed for China on Tuesday.
Their visit comes upon the invitation of China’s ruling Communist Party of China (CPC).
In a statement, PNC highlighted that the visit will be at the invitation of the CPC's International Department and will be led by Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation Mohamed Ameen.
According to the ruling party, the visit carries the purpose of exploring lessons from China’s remarkable economic growth in recent years, share PNC's own experiences, and strengthen the relationship between the two ruling parties.
The trip will proceed through September 26.
The PNC delegation will be visiting five cities of China as part of the trip.
According to PNC, the delegation is scheduled to meet the Minister of CPC’s International Department, Liu Jianchao, as part of the visit.
