First Lady Sajidha Mohamed has said that graduation is not just certification, but a validation of self-growth.
She said this while delivering her address as the chief guest, at the Islamic University of Maldives (IUM) convocation ceremony for 2024 held on Thursday.
Shedding light on the significance of students pursuing avenues of collaboration and communication, FL Sajidha stressed on the value of insight and constructive criticism which serve as tools for prompting transformative changes.
Taking the podium at the ceremony she also advocated for the promotion of productivity and personal development, as they are vital for the educational journey of all.
In addition to this, the first lady encouraged students to embark on a lifelong journey towards self-development by always working to improve their skills.
Highlighting that IUM has been a historic institution that has brought transformative progress to the Islamic community in the Maldives, the first lady also touched upon the establishment of the university.
Thursday’s ceremony saw Sajidha conferring certificates to graduates from the convocation.
