MTCC mobilized the project site on April 16

The harbor development project site in Thinadhoo island of Vaavu atoll, has been mobilized.

This was revealed by the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) on Wednesday.

As such, taking to social media platform ‘X’ to provide the latest updates of the Thinadhoo harbor development project to the public, MTCC revealed that they mobilized the project site on 16 April 2024.

Under the scope of the project, MTCC is required to conduct new harbor basin dredging operations in an area measuring 12,800 cubic meters as well as channel dredging operations in an area spanning 860 cubic meters.

The project also entails the construction of a breakwater measuring 77 meters, a 482-meter revetment and a quay wall stretching up to 249.66 meters.

The installation of a harbor pavement measuring 1,847 square meters also comes under the scope of the project.

Further, MTCC will be constructing a bridge measuring 16 meters by two meters and a ramp measuring 10 meters by nine meters.

Harbor lights and mooring buoys will also be installed as part of the project.

The Thinadhoo harbor development project is valued at MVR 40.57 million.
