The new non-resident ambassador of Maldives to South Korea, Hassan Sobir has presented his credentials to the President of South Korea.

Ambassador Sobir presented his Letters of Credence President of the Republic of Korea Yoon Suk Yeol as the new non-resident ambassador of Maldives, during a ceremony held at the Yongsan Presidential Office in Seoul on Thursday.

During the ceremony, Ambassador Sobir conveyed greetings from President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and the people of Maldives to the President and the People of South Korea.

He expressed his commitment to work closely with the South Korean government during his tenure, with renewed focus on enhancing bilateral and multilateral cooperation between the two countries.

Ambassador Sobir met with senior government officials of South Korea during his visit to the country.

Discussions were held on further exploring opportunities and enhancing the cooperation between the two countries.

First Secretary at the Embassy of the Republic of Maldives in Japan Shafraz Rasheed accompanied Ambassador Sobir during the visit.
