Hassan Ismail has resigned from the post of Communications Secretary at the President's Office.
The President's Office confirmed that Hassan had tendered his resignation letter on Sunday.
The President's Office further revealed that Hassan had cited changes in his personal life as the reason for his resignation, and that he was no longer able to invest his time to fulfil the responsibilities of his position as before because of this.
Hassan's resignation comes at the heels of major changes to the press team at the President's Office.
Mabrook Azeez, formerly the Spokesperson for the National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC), was appointed as Spokesperson at the President's Office on 10 January 2021.
Ibrahim Hood, who preceded Mabrook in this position, continues to serve as Communications Strategist at the President's Office.
