Entrance to ADK hospital: Will boost daily covid-19 testing capacity by 500
Covid-19 tests done through the privately run ADK hospital will be paid for, and shall be covered by Aasandha reveals Mabrook Aziz.
According to Mabrook, the National Emergency Operation Center (NEOC) spokesperson, tests done through ADK will start on Sunday. He added that, arrangements have been made by the state for the funds to be paid for by Aasandha.
A price for these tests has not been set yet. Mabrook said that the rates will be publicized once they are finalized. The samples that are being run through the laboratory at ADK will be taken by NEOC personnel.
ADK Hospital's 500 testing capacity is a welcome boost, at a time the country is braced for an easing of lockdown measures. The total testing capacity has increased to almost 900 tests a day, still less than the 1500 tests a day the experts have been calling for. Additional testing machines are to arrive in the country next week.
Previously speaking to RaajjeMV, ADK Managing Director Ahmed Affaal said that the hospital's main priority was to help boost the state testing capacity.
